However, barriers to delivering the value represented by public cloud remain, including finance and accounting challenges. Are these genuine blockers, or myth?
The adoption of large-scale public cloud has many well understood benefits for organisations and their customers. Recently, use of cloud-based solutions has been critical as an enabler for implementing new, scaled, citizen centered digital channels – especially in the context of our drought, bushfire and COVID-19 responses. Public sector leaders in Australia increasingly recognise these benefits and are often approaching complex information technology (IT) related procurement issues with a cloud-first mindset.
