In 2018, Deloitte Brisbane and the Oodgeroo unit of the Queensland University of Technology embarked on a trailblazing, paid internship pilot program for Indigenous students, one of the first of its kind in Australia.
In 2018, Deloitte Brisbane and the Oodgeroo unit of the Queensland University of Technology embarked on a trailblazing, paid internship pilot program for Indigenous students, one of the first of its kind in Australia. The carefully co-designed pilot program enabled four proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to gain career-forming professional experience, working with colleagues and clients in the top tier professional environment of Deloitte. The results of the six-month part time pilot program for the students and for Deloitte were inspiring. Deloitte Australia is starting to build on its commitment to help co-create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
