“This clearly demonstrates our intent to continue to invest in the areas that are a high priority for our clients and to be a true market leader in key domains like cyber security.

“Through this partnership, Deloitte has stepped up its commitment to offer advanced active cyber defence capabilities to protect Australian businesses and organisations from growing cyber threats.”

Adam McCarthy, Deloitte’s newest Cyber Partner said: “We’re excited to bring our team of experts to Deloitte, and work together to bring the highest level of cyber protection to our customers, and solve complex cyber challenges that contribute to our national security.

“Cyber threats continue to find new ways to infiltrate our lives. Deloitte is committed to innovating and investing in advanced capabilities to gain an edge over cyber threat actors and help Australia to realise its potential as a world leader in cyber security.”

Deloitte has a cyber practice of more than 680 people in Australia, including 48 partners and 640 staff with further growth expected to keep pace with increasing client demand. Deloitte Australia also has access to the firm’s global network of cyber industry experts and expertise.

Background

Adam McCarthy and Frank Santucci started their cyber careers in the Australian Army in 2001, and both served with special forces. They served on multiple deployments, including several tours of Afghanistan.

In 2016, they founded ParaFlare with a determination to bring the same cyber protection used within the Australian Defence Force to businesses and organisations. As cyber threats continue to increase in scale and frequency, two sovereign businesses – ParaFlare and Deloitte Australia – will join forces to step up the fight against the growing cyber threat faced by Australia.
