Deloitte Australia announces Independent Board members

28 AUGUST 2025: Deloitte Australia today announced Rufus Black and Kee Wong as independent members of the Deloitte Australia Board (the Board), each serving an initial three-year term.

Deloitte Australia Chair John Greig said: “Deloitte Australia has a robust governance framework and a strong, capable Board that adheres to ASX corporate governance principles. Having Independent Board members is a forward-looking step that will enhance our governance by bringing external perspectives, broader experience and greater diversity of thought to the Board.

“Evolving our governance reflects the expectations of our clients, the communities we serve and the broader public interest, and aligns with the standards expected by regulators and the market. It’s also what our Partners and our people expect as our firm grows in scale, complexity and responsibility.

“We’re delighted with the outstanding calibre of these Independent Board members. Rufus Black and Kee Wong will bring deep expertise across governance, technology, regulation, innovation, strategy and risk, and we’re confident their perspectives will have a strong, positive impact.

“The Board conducted a rigorous, externally supported search following recent updates to the Partnership Agreement to provide for Independent Board members.

“Following recent updates to our Partnership Agreement, the Board now comprises seven elected Partner Board members and the CEO, and two Independent Board members. With the addition of Rufus and Kee, our Board will have a 50:50 gender balance, which is in line our 40:40:20 gender balance commitment (40 per cent women, 40 per cent men and 20 per cent all genders).”
