Robert is a partner in Deloitte’s actuarial and insurance consulting practice providing advice across the insurance sectors. Robert has a passion for data and analytics and is an expert in statistical modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence. From 2008-22, Robert has held C-suite leadership positions in Australian insurance companies where he led companies through growth and mergers.
Prior to that he was in consulting with Tillinghast part of Towers Perrin for 12 years advising Australian and global insurers in financial and risk management. In 2018, Robert took a sabbatical at Sydney University to complete a Masters of Applied Economics and since then has completed a number of short courses at Stanford on machine learning topics. Outside of work, bike riding, book reading and philosophy take up a lot of his time.
