Matthew is a Partner in our Audit & Assurance division with over 20 years of experience as an auditor and professional advisor to companies in the extractive industries. Matthew has acted as the lead audit partner for a variety of listed and private multinational oil and gas and mining clients, and has advised on a variety of transactions, including IPO’s, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Matthew also has worked in industry, with Shell International Petroleum in London.
He has spoken at conferences in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East on IFRS for the oil and gas industry and was a member of the UK Oil Industry Accounting Committee between 2002 and 2010.
In November 2012, Matthew transferred to the Brisbane office of Deloitte where he continues to focus on clients in the oil and gas industry.
