He has over 20 years’ audit and accounting advisory experience in Australia and South Africa, specialising in the resolution of complex accounting and corporate reporting issues.
He is a leading adviser on the implementation of the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, helping organisations navigate evolving investor, regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
Jonathan is a member of Deloitte’s Global Expert Advisory Panels on Sustainability Reporting as well as Rate Regulated Activities. He is recognised for his deep technical expertise in financial and sustainability reporting, and regularly advises boards, executives and audit committees on emerging reporting requirements and complex transactions.
Areas of specialist expertise include sustainability reporting, greenhouse gas accounting and the GHG Protocol, climate-related financial disclosures, leasing, rate regulated activities, revenue recognition, impairment of assets, share-based payments and significant asset transactions.
