Joanne Gorton is the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Australia and a member of the Deloitte Asia Pacific Executive Leadership team. She leads a team of around 11,000 professionals across Australia and Papua New Guinea.
With over 25 years of multi-industry experience, Joanne is a highly respected and trusted advisor to Boards and C-level executives, and she works closely with ASX100 companies and major public and private organisations. With extensive experience leading significant audits, major advisory engagements, and cross-business collaborations, Joanne brings strategic insights and practical solutions across a range of industries.
Joanne’s career has spanned across two of Australia’s largest professional services firms – Deloitte and PwC. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Joanne was Deloitte Australia’s Audit & Assurance Managing Partner and under her leadership, the business grew significantly, reflecting her proven track record in senior leadership positions of driving sustainable business growth.
Joanne is a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors and Chief Executive Women.
She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology Sydney. Joanne is also a Chartered Accountant and an ASIC Registered Company Auditor.
