Geoff has over 30 years of experience consulting to some of the world’s top companies on the topics of strategy, growth, innovation, and adapting business models to deal with change. Currently, he is a Principal at Deloitte where he has held various positions across the firm’s Sustainability, Innovation, and Strategy practices. Today, he leads all energy transition and sustainability work globally and in the US for clients in the energy, resources, and industrials sectors. Prior to this, he led the innovation firm Doblin and was a senior partner at Monitor Group, serving as a member of its global Board of Directors.
Geoff is a widely sought-after speaker & writer on the topic of growth through innovation. He is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review and a Wall Street Journal bestselling co-author of two books: Detonate: Why – and How – Corporations Need to Blow up Best Practices (and Bring a Beginner’s Mind) to Survive (Wiley, 2018) and Provoke: How Leaders Shape the Future by Overcoming Fatal Human Flaws (Wiley, 2021). He was a Thinkers50 finalist for the Distinguished Achievement Award in Strategy (2019) and in Leadership (2021). The third and final book in the trilogy – Hone: How Purposeful Leaders Defy Drift – will be released by Wiley in September, 2025. Geoff also co-hosts the podcast “Provocateurs: Profiles in Leadership.”
