Armed with a background in Business/CA and almost 10 years’ experience at Deloitte, Martin is a Director in Deloitte’s Government Incentives team, based in Brisbane. With a passion for science and technology that will make the world a better place, he works with a wide range of clients from start-up inventors working out of their backyard sheds to the largest most innovative companies in the country, who are driving change and paving the way towards transforming our future.
Without our help, the project simply wouldn’t have gotten off the ground and the site would probably still be an empty field with maybe a few cows on it.

A career highlight for Martin was his involvement in a client project which saw the creation of new jobs and improving the lives of many families, "the project had been in the works for years and was important for both the client and the local area. Without our help, the project simply wouldn’t have gotten off the ground and the site would probably still be an empty field with maybe a few cows on it.
It really hit home for me when the mayor burst into tears at the announcement ceremony. At the end of the day it is our clients that build these projects, but it’s extremely rewarding to play a part in getting them off the ground and to make such a big impact for so many people’"
As a father to two children, Martin has found our DeloitteFlex to have truly changed the way he works. "Having the flexibility to work from wherever I want has made it so much easier to fit work around life, rather than the other way round. Things like being able to leave early on a Wednesday to go to cricket training or take my daughter to swimming lessons, or take Friday off to be a stay-at-home dad for a day really is helping me to be my best self".
