The Davos Agenda

Resilient leadership during “The Great Reset”

Deloitte joins global leaders at the World Economic Forum virtual event, The Davos Agenda, from 25-29 January 2021. Under the theme, A Crucial Year to Rebuild Trust, the event will focus on the Forum’s Great Reset Initiatives such as stakeholder capitalism, climate change, and emerging technologies. The insights from this event will set the foundation for dialogue at the live Annual Meeting in Singapore.

An entire week of global programming has been curated to focus on the development of solutions for a robust pandemic response and recovery.

Through the strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum, Deloitte has taken a leadership role at advancing the Forum’s commitment of “Improving the state of the world." Deloitte’s year-round engagement through Forum events, knowledge collaborations, and community memberships have been a platform to contribute to the global, regional and industry agendas.

As the world navigates through a global pandemic and unprecedented disruptions, Deloitte’s delegation at The Davos Agenda will collaborate with leaders from business, society, and government to build a more resilient post COVID-19 world.

Leading “The Great Reset”: Deloitte 2021 Resilience Report

Deloitte Global’s 2021 Resilience Report, Building The Resilient Organization, explores how organizations have coped with the tumultuous events of 2020 and identifies the traits that characterize a resilient organization—traits business leaders can cultivate in order to build greater resilience into their own companies. The survey of more than 2,000 C-suite executives across 21 countries confirms that organizations that plan and invest in anticipation of disruptions—whether on the scale of an isolated cyber-attack or a full-blown health pandemic—are better positioned to respond, recover, and thrive.

Deloitte’s delegation and perspectives on “The Great Reset”

Joe Ucuzoglu, Global Chief Executive Officer

"As we move to a post-pandemic world, I expect we will see significant benefits from the digital transformation investments that companies are making, including improved quality of life with new ways of working and richer forms of connection."

Sharon Thorne, Global Chair

"For a ‘Great Reset’ to be viable, businesses must proactively embrace their responsibility to protect and improve our planet and communities. The lessons learned over the past year have given us an opportunity to build resilience for the future. Now we must come together to ensure we’re putting environmental sustainability as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of our strategies."

Vimi Grewal-Carr, Global Clients & Industries Leader

"The pandemic has provided us an opportunity to pause, take a breath, and view our challenges from a global perspective. Our world comprises many connected ecosystems, and issues are no longer limited to one location. We are truly all in this together."

Cindy Hook, Asia Pacific Chief Executive Officer

"Having seen the strength and resilience of Asia through the pandemic, I am confident the region will build back better through the ‘Great Reset’. As the world comes together to address climate change – Asia will play a critical role – as the region most vulnerable to its impacts but also with the ability to drive the biggest change - the battle against climate change will be won or lost in Asia."

Sami Rahal, France Chief Executive Officer

"As business leaders, it is our responsibility to chart a course for the future in a way that we can all be proud of. We have the unique opportunity to rethink our way of being in the world and invent solutions that reconcile human with ecology and technology. Now is the time."
