The last few years have seen a rising interest in tax accounting, or how to reflect the tax position in the commercial financial statements. This course offers a structural approach to turning this difficult process into a success.

  • Temporary and permanent differences and calculation of tax expense
  • True-ups and current tax expense
  • Deferred taxes and valuation allowances
  • Uncertain tax positions


Day 2:

  • Tax Automation
  • Reconciliation of tax positions
  • Effective tax burden and rate reconciliation
  • Summary Tax Accounting Case Study
  • The auditor, Supervisory Board & the tax position
  • The financial statements


Each component contains a presentation and allows for questions and discussion.

Structural approach

The course offers a structural approach to the process of preparing the tax position(s) in the financial statements. This set-up offers insight into how the various items in the tax position are interconnected. Alternating between the theory and real-life cases, you will be guided through this process in 10 steps.

Who will you meet during the course?

This course is intended for anyone who has to deal with tax positions in financial statements: they may be controllers, corporate tax lawyers, or anyone having to process taxes for accounting purposes.
