10-year Vulnerability Assessment

Jurisdiction

Description

This Assessment describes how vulnerable a project is to unforeseen closure in a ten year period. It gives a mineral resource company some level of comfort in being able to plan its exploration and operation of a project in the knowledge that there is a low economic or political risk for a given 10 year investment horizon. The 10-year Vulnerability Assessment discusses:- how vulnerable the project is to legal, administrative and regulatory changes or challenges; how sensitive the project is to political changes as well as the likelihood of these changes occurring; and the project's legal tenure due to changing government or social relations, including with surrounding communities and local partners. The conclusions of the Vulnerability Assessment are included in a short-form report to be used as confidential strategic input into clients' decision making.
