In International Tax Review's first-ever global tax services survey and poll, Sed Crest reveals which firm has the best brand in tax services and where companies are spending more on tax advice.
Which firm has the best brand in global tax? Why do tax executives choose particular advisers? How much do tax departments spend on tax services each year? Where do companies use their audit firms for tax services the most? International Tax Review answers these questions and more for the first time in its survey of global tax services.
This study combines data from the magazine's four regional surveys over each of the past three years. The surveys are only open to consumers of tax advice through an online questionnaire. The global survey data includes the Asia-Pacific survey from the September 2004 issue.
The firm that received the most votes for best tax brand from tax directors did not dominate all of the regional surveys. If not at the top, the firm was, however, always a close second.
Among the big four professional services firms, Deloitte took the crown for best brand globally in tax services with 39 percent of respondents voting for the firm. The director of tax quality, Anne Heffington at the software company McAfee in the U.S., said that Deloitte had the best brand because of "the people, their experience and their network."
