Deloitte Selects Managing Director of Technology Janet Foutty as New Federal Consulting Leader

Washington, DC, June 20, 2013 – Deloitte announced today the appointment of Janet Foutty, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP to Federal Consulting leader. Foutty, who has been with Deloitte for more than two decades, currently serves as Deloitte’s managing director of technology and oversees more than 15,000 practitioners in the United States and globally. She succeeds John Gibbons, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP who will serve as strategic advisor during the transition and advance special projects for Deloitte Consulting Innovation and the Deloitte U.S. Consulting Global office.

“Janet’s deep experience advising Deloitte’s many commercial technology clients will be a great asset to government agencies as they build capability through analytics, mobile, social business, and cloud and cyber intelligence,” said Jim Moffatt, chairman and chief executive officer, Deloitte Consulting LLP.

Deloitte’s technology service area has flourished under Foutty. She successfully launched three new businesses under the service area, including Application Management Services (AMS), Customer Solutions and, most recently, Deloitte Digital. Foutty also helped drive the 2012 acquisition of Übermind – an innovative mobile agency – which put Deloitte’s Technology practice at the forefront of enterprise and consumer mobile strategy and implementation. During her 22 years with Deloitte, Foutty has also served in a wide range of leadership positions, including the Financial Services Industry leadership team as well as the Women’s Initiative and Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Councils.

“We thank John for his tremendous contributions as Federal Consulting leader and warmly welcome Janet as she steps into this role,” said Robin Lineberger, chief executive officer, Deloitte Federal Government Services, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “Janet has a tremendous track record of helping improve client results in technology services and financial services. Her leadership and experience will be a great asset to federal agencies as they look for innovative technology solutions to achieve their mission.”
