Meet the leaders of Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services:

 

Tom McGee
Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte LLP

Tom McGee is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the United States.

Tom reports directly to Deloitte’s CEO, assisting in the overall management and oversight of the firm and critical strategic projects. His responsibilities also include leadership of Deloitte’s Mergers & Acquisitions Services practice; Deloitte's private company and mid market practice, Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services; and overseeing global matters.

Tom serves on Deloitte’s U.S. Executive Committee, the U.S. Operating Group and the U.S. and Global Audit Executive Committees.

During his 25 years with the U.S. Firms, Tom has held a variety of regional, national and global leadership roles. He has served numerous mid-market public and private companies as well as some of Deloitte’s largest clients including New Mountain Capital, Energy Capital Partners, Hearst Entertainment, Berkshire Partners, Dole Food Company, Kingston Technology, Nissan, Office Depot and Toshiba. He has significant experience working with his clients’ senior management and assisting in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings and balance-sheet restructurings.

Tom is a noted business speaker, with appearances on CNBC and interviews and commentary in numerous national media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CFO magazine and The Hill.

In addition to his work at Deloitte, Tom is active in numerous civic, charitable and academic organizations. He currently serves on the boards of Covenant House International and the New York Catholic Foundation, as well as the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of New York and the Board of Regents of Loyola Marymount University, his alma mater. He previously served on the boards of United Way of Orange County, Junior Achievement of Southern California and Catholic Charities of Los Angeles. Tom, his wife Charlene and daughters Kelsey and Emma reside in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Roger Nanney
National AERS Audit Leader,
Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Roger serves as the AERS Audit Leader for Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services. He is also a senior advisory partner serving Loews Corporation, CNA Financial Corporation, Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation, Baker Hughes Incorporated, American Electric Power Co., Dean Foods Company, Koch Industries, ExxonMobil Corporation and Fluor Corporation. Roger also serves as US Member Firm Facilitator, Americas Region Contracting Coordinator and is a member of the Retirement Committee of Deloitte LLP. Roger previously served as Vice Chairman. Prior roles include member of the US and Americas Operating Committees and Mid-America regional managing partner. During his 30-year career, Roger has also led or advised a wide range of multinational engagements for many of the U.S. Firms' largest and most distinguished clients.

Glenn Yauch
National AERS Advisory Leader,
Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Glenn serves as the AERS Advisory Leader for Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services. Glenn also serves as a Lead Relationship Partner for several global industrial and manufacturing clients. He has previously served as the Regional Leader for the Central Region Advisory Practice. With more than 23 years of experience in the areas of internal audit, information systems consulting and risk management consulting, he has led global initiatives around enterprise risk management. He frequently consults and advises our clients and their boards on governance and risk management trends. Glenn also has experience as an executive at General Motors Corporation, where he served as a General Director.

Julia Cloud
National Tax Leader, Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services, Deloitte Tax LLP 

Julia serves as the National Tax Leader for Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services. She also serves as the National Service Line Leader for the Private Client Advisors practice of Deloitte Tax LLP, focused on providing detailed and objective tax and wealth planning advice and services to private companies and their owners and affluent individuals and families. Julia has over 20 years of experience in structuring acquisitions and divestitures, implementing accounting method changes and addressing tax planning and compliance to include individual tax planning, trust and estate issues and charitable planning.

 

Kevin McFarlane
National Financial Advisory Services Leader, Deloitte Growth Enterprise Service, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP

Kevin is a leader of the firm’s Corporate Finance practice in the Pacific Southwest. His sixteen years of investment banking experience includes advising both public and private entities on a variety of strategic and financing initiatives with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures as well as the raising of equity, hybrid-equity and debt capital from both the public and private markets. He has served as a lead advisor for companies across a broad spectrum of industries, including aerospace and defense, hospitality and leisure, paper and forest products, retail, consumer products, media, software, telecommunications, technology, transportation and general industrial manufacturing. He has served clients on cross border transactions in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

 

Harvey Michaels
National Consulting Leader, Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Harvey currently serves as the National Consulting Leader for Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services. He is also the Regional Managing Director for Deloitte Consulting in its Mid-America Region. Harvey has played many roles over his 29 year career at Deloitte including leadership positions in both the FAS practice and former Solutions practice (Consulting Middle Market services). He serves as the Energy partner on a wide variety of Oil & Gas, Petro-chemical and Utility clients with financial analysis, performance improvement and financial transformation projects. Harvey is currently the lead client service partner at a major energy client as well as the Consulting Point of Contact for several other clients in Mid-America. He has had extensive global experience serving many large and mid market companies in the U.S. and in South America, Europe, The Pacific Rim and the Middle East.

 

Pete Shimer

Pete Shimer
National Marketplace Leader, Deloitte Growth Enterprise Services, Deloitte LLP

Pete is the national managing partner of Market Development Services for Deloitte. He also serves as the Market Development chief operating officer and sits on the firm’s Operating Committee.  Pete served as the Seattle managing partner from 2007-2014 and was the leader of the National and Global CFO Forums programs during that same time. Prior to these roles, Pete was
partner-in-charge of the Seattle Audit Practice and lead client service partner for a number of large multinational clients, including Costco, NIKE, Nordstrom and Weyerhaeuser. During his 29 years at Deloitte, Pete has focused primarily on retail, consumer business and other supply chain companies.

Pete is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of CPAs and he serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including The Seattle Foundation, Seattle Children’s Hospital, University of Washington Foundation, the YMCA of Greater Seattle and Washington Premier Football Club.

Pete graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Business and concentration in Accounting. He has also completed Executive Programs at Northwestern University (Kellogg), University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) and Columbia University.
