Meet Nelson Kunkel
Director, Deloitte Consulting LLP
Nelson is the National Creative Director at Deloitte Digital, leading a group of experienced creative and design thinkers to transform the postdigital landscape. His primary role is to evangelize Deloitte Consulting’s point of view around the role of design in technology while shining light on and challenging the ways in which we can affect the lives of others through our client's work.
Driven by a sense of curiosity and a desire to make things better, Nelson has spent a career building great companies and brands. Since founding and successfully selling his first interactive agency in 1995, Nelson has built six additional companies – from a search management service in New York City to a winery in Santa Barbara – all while spending over 18 years in digital strategy and experience design across the fashion, finance, technology and retail industries. He has held an executive position at two of the Top Five interactive agencies and his work has been published in several leading books and magazines on interactive and brand design.
Nelson is a designer, entrepreneur, investor, creative thinker and problem-solver who geeks out on fixing things, start-ups, travel, cooking, wine, gadgets and gear. He received his BFA degree in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
