Meet Kevin Lynch
Kevin Lynch is presently the National Managing Director for Deloitte Consulting’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry group. For more than 27 years, he has worked with companies of all sizes to shape and evaluate options for growth through acquisitions, operating in the asymmetric world of scarce information and large scale “bet the company” transactions. Kevin’s specialties include: acquisition strategy, strategic and commercial due diligence, operating strategy development and growth, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) integration, and M&A effectiveness.
Throughout his career, Kevin has adopted the clients’ needs as his own, measuring personal success through that of his clients. This disposition comes from having been on both sides of the negotiating table, and understanding what it means to be in the client’s shoes. He brings a perspective that is deeper than one of a strategy consulting services provider.
In his spare time, Kevin applies a similar mindset to personal interests, such as building things. He has strong passion and takes great energy by enabling a new generation of performance, taking something old and tired, whether that be houses or cars or whatever else he can get his hands on, and making it new again. That passion for re-building is one of the main reasons why Kevin gets so much satisfaction from the professional work he does.
Kevin is passionate about talent development and has made it his mission to develop the people on his team to realize their own full potential so that they can make a difference not only with the clients we serve, but in the world we live in.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication from the University of Southern California and an MBA, with honors, from the University of Washington. In addition, he is a graduate of Stanford Law School Directors' College and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. You can find Kevin regularly lecturing at prominent graduate business schools on the topic of growth and M&A effectiveness.

Proudest career moment
I assisted a client in their efforts to evaluate and manage acquiring a company nearly three times the size of his own, in the face of unprecedented economic headwinds and fairly thin funding options. I supported my client's vision to fruition — through transaction, integration and value realization. It was just the challenge I had prepared for my entire career and it was incredibly rewarding.
"A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example.” - this quote from Niccolo Machiavelli has shaped the approach I have taken to life.
