Meet Sabeth Siddique

Director, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP

Sabeth Siddique leads the credit risk group within Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Governance, Regulatory and Risk Strategies practice. He joined Deloitte from the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. where he was Assistant Director of Banking Supervision and Regulation, heading the credit risk department. During his nine-year tenure at the Federal Reserve, Sabeth played a key role in the horizontal assessment of risk management practices in the banking system across a broad array of products ranging from retail, commercial, and trading exposures.

In 2009, Sabeth was a key member of senior Federal Reserve team that led the 150 interagency examiners for the “stress test” exercise on systemically important banks focusing on loss estimates, Allowances for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL), and projected capital.  Subsequently, Sabeth participated in the ongoing strategic discussions for supervisory programs such as capital assessment processes, interagency horizontal initiatives, and other areas of regulatory focus.

Since joining Deloitte, Sabeth has assisted clients with stress testing, capital adequacy assessments, regulatory risk, living wills, compliance with the Basel II accords, and other regulatory risk management issues.

Sabeth has an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in chemical engineering from Rutgers University.
