Cyber Risk is an Ever-Present Risk
Alarmed by a proliferation of cyber attacks on high-profile businesses, many boards of directors are asking their executive teams, “Could it happen to us?” Compounding the situation is the reality that many organizations may not be as effective at managing cyber threat risk as they are at managing risk in other areas, because cyber threats are both a relatively new and constantly evolving source of risk.
Corporate Board Member magazine asked Henry Ristuccia, partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP and Global Leader Governance, Risk and Compliance services, and Rich Baich, principal and Global Lead for Cyber Threat Management, Deloitte & Touche LLP, to offer their advice to boards needing a starting point for addressing cyber risk management.
