LNG Exports from the United States

Reports by the Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions and Deloitte MarketPoint LLC

In a startling about-face during the past several years, natural gas market forces have reversed expectations that the U.S. would become a major LNG importer to now potentially becoming a major LNG exporter. The United States Department of Energy is considering approval of several applications for LNG exports. If all applications are approved, the United States would become the world's largest exporter of LNG providing global markets with nearly 29 Bcf/d of gas. The Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions has developed a series of reports on LNG to study the impact of this transformation on the American and global economy.
