Going the extra mile for Hospice

A team of over 40 members of Deloitte staff together with some of their families and families took part in the Land Rover 2013 Marathon on Sunday 24th February in order to raise funds for charity.

In the months leading up to the marathon, the team dedicated long hours of their time to training and to gearing themselves up for the marathon with some members preparing  for the 21k walkathon, others for the 21k half marathon and two team members for the full 42km marathon.

All proceeds were donated to Hospice Malta - a voluntary organisation providing and promoting the highest standards of Palliative care for persons with cancer, motor neurone disease and other terminal diseases.

Paul Mercieca, CEO at Deloitte Malta said “Through this initiative, our people have come together as one committed team to work hard towards supporting a worthy cause so that we can make a difference. I thank Hospice Malta for giving us the opportunity to help them. I also thank the Deloitte team for their training and dedication over the past few months and for their great team spirit”.
