IT Business Balance

Finding common ground

For organizations to grow, businesses to flourish, and groundbreaking ideas to take root, solid ground is needed. Common ground too, where Business and IT can share insights, recognize the contributions they make, and promote growth and value creation across the entire organization.

The IT Business Balance survey 2011 report explores some of the key themes that are vital for setting the direction in IT and Business alignment.

The economic crisis is slowly easing and most companies are no longer fighting its impact. With the first, harsh cost-cutting measures out of the way, IT and Business should consider taking the next steps towards alignment, in order to create more value.

Looking beyond the company borders can provide inspiration on how to deal with IT and Business alignment in a new, productive way. This is one of the findings from this report. By offering a glimpse into key areas, we hope the report can be the starting point for fruitful thinking.

The 2011 edition includes over 800 responses from 37 different countries; a significant increase compared to last year. Companies from several industries took part, representing a variety of corporate profiles and functions. This multi-professional melting pot brought a wealth of additional insights, and further enhanced the value of the survey for companies across the globe.
