Top Employer 2013Publish date: 13 December 2012

Deloitte China has been certificated as Top Employer China by the CRF Institute for the eighth consecutive year for its commitment and continuous efforts in adopting a sustainable employee engagement strategy to building a strong career development platform for the employees.

Deloitte China is one of 36 organizations certified as Top Employer China 2013. As evidenced by independent research conducted by the CRF Institute, Deloitte China offers its employees competitive working conditions through both professional and comprehensive training, quality mentoring, international mobility and a diversified and dynamic company culture recognizing individuality and self-development.

Ms. Christina Antoniou, Partner and National Human Resources Leader of Deloitte China, said, "Deloitte China's success begins with our employees and we are delighted to be rated as one of China's Top Employers by CRF again this year. This award is a recognition of our people management strategy and demonstrates the level of employee satisfaction. All these things will help Deloitte develop more dynamically in China's dynamic and complex market."

Even more important than Deloitte's past achievements in HR practices is Deloitte's continuous investment in talent management to address talent engagement challenges and the impact it will have on our employees and our business in the future amid a changing talent management environment when individuality is respected and personal growth is encouraged.

"The talent environment continues to develop and evolve, and talent management and talent engagement are key priorities in our ever changing world. At Deloitte China, we not only recruit the best, develop and coach employees to the best of their ability but also encourage diversity, innovation and self-development. We listen with intelligence, encourage participation through our own social media tools, create a culture and values together with our employees and maximize opportunities to advance shared-interest. It is essential that our talent strategies enable our people to deliver a standard of excellence regarding the professional services we provide to clients," said Ms. Antoniou.

Since 2012, Deloitte China has launched the Green Dot Award Program to recognize employees for their special accomplishments or contributions in one-time events in addition to the annual performance review. As of one of the programs to broaden employees' career horizon, Deloitte has initiated internal transfer programs and Global Mobility Programs. Global Mobility Programs enables employees to apply for an 18-36 months placement in one of our offices around the world.

Mr. Marco Siu, Consultant who joined Deloitte China in 2009, commented, "Deloitte has arguably the most comprehensive training programs tailored to the exact needs of each function line. In fact, some Associates say that working at Deloitte is not that different from doing course projects in university – a collaborative environment where innovation meets learning."

Mr. Adrian Chan, Senior Associate of Restructuring Services of Deloitte China, said, "Our work at Deloitte is exciting, challenging and dynamic. We engage in a wide range of clients from different industries. We play different roles that require various personal and professional capacities. Sometimes, we are company doctors who save businesses at the brink of collapse; sometimes, we are detectives who look into the root of problems and identify irregularities in business operations; and sometimes, we are dealmakers who facilitate mergers and acquisitions."

Deloitte China offers not only a job or career yet also a talent experience through additional initiatives, such as CSR, social, healthcare and sports activities. In FY12, employees from Deloitte China contributed over 28,000 hours of professional time for voluntary services to the community.

Ms. Nicole Jin, General Manager China with the CRF Institute, commented, "The outstanding employee offerings that the certified Top Employers have in place for their staff show that they regard talent management as a top priority. They do not just provide their employees with the things that interest them now, but also with those that will prepare them for their next career step within the organisation. Top Employers clearly show that they appreciate and foster their employees.”
