Transforming strategy into results
Competition, more so than the economic downturn, is driving change at technology companies, according to a new Deloitte study, Competitive Preparedness: Transforming Strategy into Results.
The study revealed that a majority of technology companies had shifted their focus internally prior to the current market turmoil, examining and refining their core business models and cost structures to make themselves stronger and more flexible. Most recent enterprise-wide change initiatives were centered on implementing information technology, driving cost reductions and restructuring operations, as opposed to the traditional emphasis on new products and services.
