Deloitte Private appoints new Sydney partner to help mid-market clients adopt cloud technologiesDOWNLOAD
5 September 2013: The Sydney office of Deloitte Private has recently appointed a new lateral partner, Gordon Irons.
Prior to joining Deloitte Private, Gordon was a management consultant with other Big Four accounting firms and has worked with clients focusing on business strategy and performance improvement, with a particular focus on cloud-based technology solutions in procurement and finance.
Ben Shields, Deloitte Private’s Lead Advisory partner says “Gordon is a natural fit with our team and will be instrumental in supporting our continued growth, particularly given his experience in helping middle market clients and private companies embrace cloud technologies to transform their businesses.”
Gordon’s experience covers business strategy and operations, operating model reviews and procurement and sourcing technology system reviews. He also has worked with a number of the leading global technology providers in this rapidly expanding global market.
“The professional services sector is being digitally disrupted and our response is to embrace this disruption to improve the efficiency of our clients’ operations and enhance the way we deliver value to our clients. Gordon’s experience matches our cloud technology client offering,” said Mr Shields.
Deloitte Private recently launched Deloitte Private Connect, a cloud based, real-time, shared ledger accounting offering, which enables clients to automate their bookkeeping services and generate detailed KPI and benchmark reporting.
“Cloud or single ledger accounting solutions give Deloitte Private clients the ability to access their financial data and reports from anywhere and at any time. Such solutions also provide us with the opportunity to regularly connect with our clients and offer timely insights and solutions to create and deliver value,” said Mr Shields.
“Gordon’s decision to join Deloitte Private adds to the momentum our team has been able to create in a challenging market. In addition to Gordon’s appointment, we are encouraged by the fact we continue to welcome new mid-market clients, extend our service offerings and promote our talented people,” concluded Mr Shields.
