8 March 2013: Professional services firm Deloitte has been recognised by Forrester Research, Inc. as a global leader in the Enterprise Mobility Services Forrester Wave™, Q1 2013 report.

The report analysed 13 global providers with enterprise mobility capability and scale against 15 criteria, such as process and advisory capabilities, overall technology practice strength and go-to-market strategy. The report details findings which are related to how well each provider fulfils the criteria and where they stand in relation to each other, in order to help mobility services buyers select an appropriate provider for their needs.

Frank Farrall, Deloitte Digital’s National Lead partner, believes Australian businesses now face vast and complex challenges, regarding new areas of mobile technology.

“The opportunities surrounding mobile in organisations are now immense.  It is all about interacting directly with the customer and empowering the employee wherever business is occurring. We have demonstrated this by helping our clients such as Telstra, ANZ and Australia Post to deliver mobile services to their customers,” said Mr Farrall.

In Deloitte’s 2013 Tech Trends Report, Mobile was identified as a Disruptor Trend. These trends are opportunities that create sustainable and positive disruption in IT capabilities and business operations.
“Mobile delivers information and services to where decisions are made and transactions occur. It is not simply only the smartphone and tablet but also includes items such as voice, gesture and location-based interactions. We are finding that start-ups which have embraced mobile to enable innovative business models change the dynamics in their respected industries, whilst larger businesses tend to use mobile for improving the experience of existing offerings.” said Mr Farrall.

According to Forrester, “Deloitte helps clients with a unique mix of user interface and design focus and deep business process advisory services. Deloitte also has leading-edge (and bleeding-edge) technology research to help clients understand new areas of mobility technology that will transform business models. This combination means that Deloitte is well-suited for companies looking for transform-the-business consulting expertise that uses mobility as a vehicle to becoming a game-changer in the industry.”

“In Australia our mobile offerings combine industry expertise and business advisory services with cutting edge user experience and design, to help our client harness the benefits of mobile technology across their enterprise,” added Mr Farrall.
