Lord Toby Harris
Lord Toby Harris has been Chair of the National Preparedness Commission since November 2020. Previously, Lord Harris was the first Chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority from 2004 to 2012, appointed to oversee national and international functions, including counterterrorism and security. His rich career in crisis preparedness saw him lead reviews into London’s Terrorism Preparedness as well as acting as a Visiting Professor of Resilience at Cranfield University, which he continues to do.
Tim Johnson
Tim is the Crisis & Resilience Lead Partner for Deloitte North South Europe. He has worked all over the world helping clients improve their crisis management and crisis communication preparedness, as well as to respond to threats ranging from allegations of fraud and malpractice, industrial accidents, cyber breaches, litigation, sensitive asset divestments, organisational restructuring and supply chain failures. Tim was chief operating officer of specialist crisis management consultancy, Regester Larkin, prior to its acquisition by Deloitte in 2016. Tim’s book, ‘Crisis Leadership’ was published by Bloomsbury in 2017.
Nerys Jones
Nerys is a Director in Deloitte’s Reputation, Crisis & Resilience team who specialises in strategic communications and crisis management. She has vast experience in supporting organisations navigate complex communication challenges during major programmes and transformations. More recently, the majority of her work has been in the government and public services sector, but she has previously worked across multiple industries including energy, aviation, manufacturing, financial services and consumer.
Neil Bourke
Neil is a Partner in Deloitte’s Reputation, Crisis & Resilience team. He is an operational resilience specialist with in-depth knowledge and experience across a wide range of risk, resilience and readiness activities. Neil has over 13 years of experience supporting large global organisations across multiple sectors develop approaches and capabilities to reduce the likelihood and impact of disruption to critical business operations and supporting technology.
