Samuel Smithers

Manager | FA - Advisory Corporate Finance

Samuel is a Manager in Deloitte’s Economic Advisory practice. He provides support on developing analytical approaches, including surveys, econometric modelling, experimental economics and behavioural economics for clients across the private and public sector.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Samuel worked for the Department of Work and Pensions Labour Market Analysis Division, advising on the design and evaluation of large scale randomised control trials to test the effectiveness of new policies on the unemployed via a network of Jobcentres.

He holds a PhD in Experimental Economics from the University of Leicester where he lectured on quantitative methods, and set up an experiment laboratory for the study of behaviour and economic decision making of individuals. He is a published academic in the field of incentives and motivation.
