Lionel brings substantial industry experience to the team across hospitality openings, optimisation and operations. He has more than nine years of industry experience with a range of experience across strategic and operational functions in the hotel, travel, and events sectors in the EMEA and APAC regions. At Deloitte, Lionel worked on hotel and leisure real estate feasibility studies, financial modelling, transactions, and development, as well as market and competitor analyses. The projects were in different stages of the asset lifecycle, from conceptualisation to optimising existing assets with CAPEX deployment strategies across EMEA.

Prior to Deloitte, Lionel worked with Marriott International as the project operational lead on multiple hotel openings, including other roles in franchising analytics and transformation projects such as the integration of Marriott and Starwood. He was also involved in the planning, aligning, and analysing the franchise and owner relationships business functions, supporting performance discussions with owners, operators and divisions. Apart from hotels, Lionel has also worked with UHNW clients at Quintessentially Lifestyle, and with tourism and medical conventions at MCI and Messe Berlin.

Lionel holds a BSc in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) with a specialisation in finance management.
