As global and UK public policy leader, David is responsible for the Deloitte network’s approach to developing relationships with senior stakeholders on issues that matter to them and to Deloitte. The stakeholders include government, investors, business groups, professional bodies and regulators. Under his leadership, Deloitte brings expertise from across the network to engage in constructive stakeholder dialogue on issues ranging from capital market stability to innovation for sustainable growth and the future of work.
David is also Chairman of the Policy & Reputation Group in the UK and of the European Contact Group, which comprise the largest six professional services firms in those markets. The purpose of these groups is to respond to current and prospective public interest issues that could affect the profession’s reputation.
David also maintains his client service responsibilities for a number of FTSE100 organisations. He has over 32 years’ experience providing audit, advisory and regulatory services to financial services clients across the banking, insurance and investment management sectors.
