Ash joined Deloitte in December 2023 from the regulator Ofcom. At Ofcom, Ash advised on the scope of the OSA, including how AI is captured under the Act and should be assessed under risk assessments. He further assisted in drafting the enforcement guidance as well parts of illegal harms guidance documentation and advised government on information sharing duties under the OSA.

Since joining Deloitte, Ash has been an integral part of the risk assessment team for a major platform assisting in planning and executing the systemic risk assessment under the DSA, as well as, helping scale up the approach for a suitable and sufficient risk assessment under the OSA. This has included key actions like aligning risk taxonomy for DSA and OSA, helping define list of in-scope services and identifying common evidence points to be used across regimes, with a view to building one risk assessment execution process that helps meet the requirements of multiple regulatory regimes.
