Patronella is an Associate Director in our East African practice and is currently responsible for tax matters in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. She joined Deloitte in December 2004 and started out in the Nairobi office before returning to Kampala in January 2006. In October 2008 she was seconded to the Nairobi office for eighteen months. At the time of leaving Kenya, she was an Assistant Manager under the Transaction Advisory and International tax service lines. She has since been on secondment in Rwanda/ Burundi and handles overall tax matter for clients.
Patronella's tax experience covers corporation tax compliance, transfer pricing, customs, tax structuring and due diligence for M&A transactions and reorganizations across a number of industries. Patronella has been involved in income tax and VAT compliance, due diligence reviews, transaction advisory work, international taxation and dispute resolution with revenue authorities as well as being involved in lobbying and development of technical papers.
Patronella has also been involved in facilitation and training for Deloitte, clients in different industries and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda on taxation matters.
She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Law Development Center and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Makerere University.
