Joseph joined Deloitte as an Audit Associate in 2003 and moved to KPMG in the Cayman Islands in 2008 where he worked in the Financial Services Industry (Captive Insurance). In 2011, he joined the Manufacturing Industry as a Senior Corporate Finance Manager with British American Tobacco in both Uganda and Kenya. He re-joined Deloitte in 2016 and has been instrumental in growing the Risk Advisory function and developing talent in Uganda and across East Africa.
He has over 18 years of broad experience in financial compliance, internal controls, external audit, information technology assurance and corporate governance audits.
Joseph holds an International Master in Anti-Corruption Compliance and Collective Action (Cum-Laude), a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and he is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA).
He is also a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) as well as the Institute of Corporate Governance Uganda (ICGU), where he serves as a Council member representing Deloitte (Uganda) Limited.
