Abi Briggs

Abi is a Partner in the Indirect Tax practice in the UK with 20 years work experience in VAT. Abi leads our Technology, Media and Telecoms (“TMT”) Indirect Tax team in both the UK and EMEA, and is the UK firms Tax lead for the Technology industry.

Abi’s focus is on advising typically multinational businesses operating in the TMT sector. Often this will involve supporting them globally including advising on the indirect tax implications of expanding into new territories or how a new product or offering should be treated for VAT purposes. In addition, with rapidly changing rules around the taxation of the Digital Economy, Abi’s focus has been in supporting businesses impacted by these changes to understand the impact on their business, as well as manage their compliance and risk associated with these changes.
