The Tanzanian firm was started before the First World War with branches in Dar es Salaam, Iringa and Mbeya. The firm later shut down the Iringa and Mbeya branches as it sought a consolidation of services, leaving only the headquarters in Dar es Salaam. Initially when Deloitte started operations, we focused on Tax, Audit and Secretarial (known as Livingstone Registrars).
Upon seeing the market demand, the Consulting department was introduced in 1998, which saw Deloitte growing and expanding into a major competitor in the consultancy service line. Today, we offer a wide range of services under the tax, audit, secretarial and consulting umbrella and we are widely recognised as market leaders in Tanzania.
