Neil is an Audit & Assurance principal in the Internal Audit & Digital Controls group at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He has more than 30 years of experience. Neil serves as the Deloitte Global leader for Internal Audit Digital Transformation and Controls Process Automation, and is a member of the Global Executive Board for Internal Audit. He leads the engagements for some of Deloitte’s largest national and multinational clients by providing technology-enabled risk and controls services.
Neil leads the Center of Excellence for Internal Audit Analytics and Automation, as well as the Risk and Compliance Controls Testing Automation services. He is known for leading digital strategy, data science, intelligent automation, and technology solutions for the Internal Audit and Controls profession. Neil has completed a wide range of strategy and risk-related projects, focusing on developing and implementing data analytics strategies. His work includes methodology redesign, talent and organization model design, reporting, and governance.
Neil is a respected thought leader in risk analytics, contributing extensively to industry dialogue through position papers on analytics in internal audit and predictive analytics for capital projects. As a sought-after speaker, he regularly shares his specialization in data analytics and its application to internal audit at major industry events, including the IIA Global Audit Management Conference, the IIA International Conference, and the ISACA National Conference. Neil was also recently interviewed about his work developing the Deloitte Analytics Platform for Internal Audit.
