David began to practice law in 2006. David has solid expertise in cross-border mergers & acquisitions, initial public offerings, capital markets transactions and financial regulations.

David is focused on renewable energy sector. David assisted a well-known private equity firm in acquiring the first offshore wind project in Taiwan. David also advised a leading renewable developer on selling stakes in offshore wind projects to financial investors. Before joining Deloitte Legal, David was Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of a Taiwan-based renewable energy group with operations in offshore wind projects, wind turbine component and offshore vessels. David can therefore provide clients with legal services based on keen business insights. David was an associate of Listing Department of Taiwan Stock Exchange in charge of rulemaking and review of IPO applications.

  • Assisted Taiya Renewable Energy in selling a majority stake in Ocean offshore wind project in Taiwan to EDF Renouvelables
  • Advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on forming joint venture with Taiwan Life and TransGlobe Life for Changfang/Xidao offshore wind projects in Taiwan
  • Assisted Taiya Renewable Energy in investment in offshore wind projects in Japan
  • Advised Fubon Financial Holding Company on tender offer for and acquisition of Jih-Sun Financial Holding Company
  • Advised CTBC Bank on acquisition of Tokyo Star Bank
  • Advised Asmedia Technologies on share exchange with WT Microelectronics
  • Advised SABIC on intra-group restructuring
