The leadership team of a public sector client participated in a Deloitte Greenhouse Strategy Lab to streamline and transform their customer journey.
 

The Breakthrough
 

Participants learned to walk in their stakeholders' shoes and visualised the future state journey that would provide a quantum leap in satisfaction and experience. They then brainstormed and identified initiatives needed to move their future vision forward. They consolidated and clustered similar ideas together and agreed on which ones to move forward with.

The team prioritised action plans with key timelines for the implementation of each initiative and made commitments to accelerate organisational transformation over the next 5 years, agreeing on the future state user journey.

A leading F&B client in the Philippines engaged in a Deloitte Greenhouse Innovation Lab to look at how to maintain their current leadership position and create an engine for future growth of the business.

The Breakthrough
 

Participants were inspired by curated case studies showcasing how other companies found their "breakthroughs" and enabled them to envision the future of retail and the CPG industry. They reviewed challenge statements and generated ideas to tackle pain points of affected stakeholders.

The groups developed prototypes to demonstrate their solutions to the challenge statements and formulated Sprint Action Plans for how they would pilot and push their ideas forward.

Five teams of participants got their projects greenlit to develop and test their prototypes further and explore how they might build a business case for implementation.

The Deloitte Greenhouse Experience
 

The Global Executive Board of a global organisation participated in a Deloitte Greenhouse Alignment Lab. The aim of the lab was to identify the Board’s key priorities beyond 2020 both within the team and finding an appropriate balance between their Global Board and local roles, whilst uniting and aligning Board members in order to help the organisation to continue its agile transformation across the network.

The Breakthrough
 

Participants were tasked to identify the differences in their global approach and to list the key roles of the Board and potential challenges they may face.

Participants shared the values that they felt were important on an individual and board level, and this aided the process of aligning the firm’s values and culture across borders.

Based on an existing Operating Model, participants voted on the top 3 priority areas that needed the most attention. Participants brainstormed on key activities and initiatives that should be instituted for each area. Participants also reflected on how they could individually contribute to a world-class brand.

Driving forward, the team identified actions outlining the top areas of governance to focus on. At the end of the Lab, the participants had a clearer picture of their roles and responsibilities between Board and Member firms. Participants celebrated diversity and acknowledged that adopting a global mind-set is imperative for the success of a global entity.

A Japanese multinational brewing and distilling client participated in the Deloitte Greenhouse Audit Transition Lab where they discussed and aligned on expectations of the audit transition, with the intention to establish a smooth and efficient communication between the two teams across the region.

The Breakthrough
 

Participants were introduced to Business Chemistry®, Deloitte’s proprietary tool that helps identify unique working styles. They learnt about the four unique working styles and their own preferred communication methods which helped them to collaborate better as a team.

The teams’ hopes and fears of the future audit experience were also revealed, leading to open discussions on new ways of working to help address existing and potential pain points.

Leveraging on the results from the pre-Lab interviews, participants explored areas of misalignment across the six dimensions of the project experience to determine key activities that facilitate communication, align expectations, manage conflicts and innovation opportunities to ensure the project’s success.

Participants also explored hypothetical and common communication scenarios to resolve. By uncovering potential communication barriers, they had the opportunity to align relevant key activities and processes to overcome potential issues ahead of the project.

Having achieved a mutual understanding of expectations, participants were able to generate and agreed on a year-long audit calendar to direct communication with increased efficiency, productivity, and transparency. Stronger bonds were formed, and participants departed from the Lab as a strong partnership team.
