Deloitte and NVPC: Empowering a secure, simple and purposeful giving journey

Deloitte collaborated with National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) to design a secure, integrated giving platform that makes it easier for individuals and organisations in Singapore to support over 700 registered charities. Recognised as a Champion of Good for more than five years, Deloitte continues to work with NVPC in building a trusted, purposeful giving ecosystem through giving.sg.

At Deloitte, our Purpose is to make an impact that matters for our clients, our people and the communities where we live and work.

Since 2020, Deloitte Southeast Asia has collaborated with National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) to design the giving journey in Singapore and extend these efforts through impactful community initiatives. The Deloitte team, led by SEA Technology and Transformation Government and Public Sector Industry Leaders Lee Chew Chiat and Tiong Shu, along with Technology and Transformation Director, Shermin Teh, built an integrated solution grounded on key principles: empathy, trust, and convenience, and with security at its core. It started as a digital transformation journey but eventually grew to become a collaborative movement. Today, giving.sg, managed by NVPC, a national online giving platform, supports over 700 registered charities matching donors and volunteers with causes they care about. This platform enables individuals and corporates to contribute meaningfully and confidently.

Hear from Ms. Michele Wooi of NVPC as she shares about the record-breaking $27.2 million raised in December 2024 and an unprecedented $3.9 million donated on 31 December 2024 alone, which respectively marked the highest-ever single-month and single-day donations in giving.sg’s history. These milestones were celebrated as Singapore welcomed SG60, the nationwide initiative commemorating 60 years of independence. NVPC’s giving.sg remains Singapore’s trusted platform, empowering individuals and corporates to support causes they care about, whether by fundraising, volunteering, or connecting with like-minded givers.

Joining Ms. Michele in the video is Ms. Soong Kiang Tay, of SPD, a registered charity on giving.sg. Through its “6000 for 60” initiative that included a large-scale relay run, Deloitte raised $700,000 towards two of SPD’s Early Intervention Centres, SPD@Jurong West and SPD@Kembangan, making essential therapy and learning support accessible to young children with developmental needs who require such support.   This fundraising event was a celebration of purpose and community spirit, commemorating Singapore’s 60th year of independence in 2025.

Giving has been made simple and safe on giving.sg and organisations are building a City of Good where everyone can give intentionally, sustain impact, and bring brighter futures within reach.

Deloitte has been recognised by NVPC as a Champion of Good for over five years - standing as a testament to Deloitte’s unwavering commitment to creating positive impact in Singapore’s communities.
