The Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ): A New Era of Regional Collaboration JS-SEZ, a strategic initiative by both Malaysia and Singapore seeks to transform the border region between Johor and Singapore into a premier economic hub. Whilst details on the JS-SEZ are still being worked through by both countries, some announcements have already been made by Malaysia. JS-SEZ will have nine flagship zones targeting eleven economic sectors and five priority sectors. A range of tax incentives to attract investments and talent into JS-SEZ have also been announced by Malaysia.
