The Deloitte Thailand Tax Challenge represents a great opportunity to test your tax knowledge and gain a valuable learning experience from leading tax experts at Deloitte.
Your team will be presented with real life business challenges, such as new investment, restructuring, domestic and international tax and transfer pricing issues, and you will need to work effectively and efficiently as a team in a pressure environment to provide practical and technically appropriate solutions.
In addition to cash prizes, the winning team will represent Thailand at the Deloitte SEA Tax Challenge against teams from other SEA countries and all individuals from finalist teams will have the opportunity to join Deloitte’s internship program or ultimately join us as new graduates.
Candidate Qualifications
- Undergraduate students currently studying in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
- Background in Economics, Business administration, Accounting, Finance, Law or related fields.
- Strong passion for Tax and Legal Services and interested in general business.
- Have demonstrated outstanding achievement in your academic career or extracurricular activities such as case competitions or voluntary activities.
- Fluent in English (both presentation and writing skills)

- The firm will provide all finalist teams with two days of intensive training from our leading tax experts before working on a business simulation case on the last day.
- Your team will be required to make presentation and present your business solution in English to the judging panel.
- Participants are required to participate in all three days covering training and competition during 14-16 February 2024.
- The winning team and best individual are required to participate in the Deloitte SEA Tax Challenge in March 2024.

- Create a short video (3-5 minutes) which contains
- An introduction of the team members
- Presentation to the CFO of a Japanese parent company of a Thai subsidiary on the potential Thai tax implications of implementing a management support services agreement between the parent company and Thai subsidiary. The assistance provided by the parent company may be in relation to sales, marketing, production, procurement and finance. You should consider (at least) Thai corporate tax/withholding tax, VAT and stamp duty.
- Provide a compelling reason why you should be selected to compete in the Deloitte Tax Challenge.
