Our key initiatives and stories from financial year 2025. Through integrating sustainability into our operations, we reinforced our commitment to address climate challenges and drive systemic gains.
Deloitte is committed to making a positive impact on the environment through our global network and people. In Southeast Asia, FY2025 saw us continue to advance progress through WorldClimate, our global environmental sustainability ambition. This initiative has a dual focus: the direct actions we take and the actions we inspire in others to promote a more sustainable future.
A key pillar of WorldClimate is our commitment to reducing absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 90 percent by 2040, from a 2019 baseline. This global net zero target was formally validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in September 2024, reinforcing the credibility of our sustainability goals.
In the near term, we remain focused on achieving our 2030 interim targets: a 70 percent reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 55 percent reduction in Scope 3 emissions from business travel per full-time equivalent employee, both measured from their 2019 baseline.
Complementing these targets, we continue to advance our commitment to the Climate Group’s core initiatives – RE100 (renewable electricity), EV100 (electric vehicle adoption) and EP100 (energy productivity) – as part of our broader effort to transition towards a low-carbon economy. Globally, over 50 percent of our fleet has been electrified.
Our continued efforts have been recognised with an A- rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project for our 2024 climate disclosure. In parallel, we are working closely with our suppliers to align on long-term sustainability goals, guided by our Supplier Code of Conduct.
While we are proud of our progress, there is more to do. We will continue to embed sustainability into the core of our operations, integrate climate-conscious practices across procurement and business processes and measure performance against our goals.
We also remain focused on evolving our strategy to better respond to climate-related risks and opportunities alongside our stakeholders and across the markets in which we operate. Together, we aim to mitigate the impacts of climate change and build the foundation for a more sustainable planet and society.
Reducing emissions across our operations is a vital part of our sustainability journey. At Deloitte SEA, we are embedding low-carbon practices into every facet of our operations – from the energy that powers our offices to how we travel and manage resources. By rethinking and transforming how we work, we’re not only accelerating progress toward our climate goals but also setting a clear example of how businesses can lead with purpose and create tangible, lasting impact.
We believe lasting impact is delivered through collaboration. That’s why we actively engage with our suppliers, clients, and wider ecosystem to embed sustainability into every stage of how we create and deliver value – amplifying our efforts beyond our own operations.
Building a sustainable future requires collective action – not just through transforming business operations but also by empowering the communities in which we live and work. In FY2025, Deloitte SEA continued to work with nonprofits, social enterprises and community organisations to strengthen climate resilience, reduce environmental risks and support an inclusive, low-carbon transition.
Reducing e-waste through laptop donations remains a core focus. We work to ensure that decommissioned IT equipment is either donated for reuse or recycled responsibly, reinforcing our commitment to a circular economy and responsible resource management.

Nature-based solutions are key to building climate resilience – protecting coastlines, conserving biodiversity and supporting local livelihoods. Through mangrove restoration and beach clean-up initiatives, our people help to regenerate vital ecosystems and strengthen community defences against climate impacts.
Here’s how we put this approach into action across Deloitte SEA in FY2025.
