Two Indonesia businesses newly recognised as Best Managed Companies

JAKARTA, 3 October 2025 – Two new businesses have been recognised as Indonesia’s Best Managed Companies award winners by Deloitte Indonesia (“Deloitte”). Now in its fifth year,  the Best Managed Companies has recognised a total of 9 outstanding local companies for their organisational achievements and significant contributions to their industries and the economy.

In addition to the two new companies, three companies achieved the coveted Gold Standard designation, awarded to organisations that have consistently performed at Best Managed level for four or more consecutive years, and four companies have also successfully retained their designation for two consecutive years, underscoring their enduring commitment to best-in-class management and performance.

To secure the Best Managed Companies designation, businesses undergo a rigorous assessment led by an independent panel. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive framework with four key pillars – strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities and innovation, as well as governance and financials – shaped by more than 30 years of Deloitte’s global benchmarking against leading private companies worldwide throughout the awards’ history.

This year’s awards were also evaluated by returning judge Professor Ancella Anitawati Hermawan. Professor Ancella obtained her Doctoral degree in Accounting from Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia in 2009 and her Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Washington University, USA, in 1989. She is currently active as an associate professor at FEB UI in the fields of management accounting, corporate governance, strategic risk and control and sustainability management and reporting.

Deloitte welcomed a new member to the program’s independent judging panel this year – Edward Tanujaya, a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and governance.  He is a senior lecturer at Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia and currently also serves as an independent member of committees in various companies. Previously he has served as Executive Director of ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) and Director at Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI). Edward Tanujaya holds an MSc in International Business from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from Universitas Indonesia.

In the face of challenges, they have shown remarkable resilience and agility, driving progress not only within their industries but also across Indonesia’s economy. Their success stories capture the spirit of innovation and determination that drives Indonesia forward, standing as powerful examples of what private businesses in our country can achieve,” said BRIAN INDRADJAJA, Indonesia Leader, President Director of PT Deloitte Konsultan Indonesia.

“This year’s Best Managed Companies winners embody the ethos of balancing bold ambition with disciplined execution, while never losing sight of the importance of people, culture and purpose. It is a privilege to witness their journey and celebrate the positive impact they have made on both the local economy and the wider Southeast Asian business landscape,” added CHUA How Kiat, Best Managed Companies Leader, Deloitte Southeast Asia.

“We are proud to welcome nine outstanding winners to the Indonesia Best Managed Companies Awards program this year. By joining the global community of Best Managed Companies across 45 countries, they stand at the forefront of their industries, driving innovation, strengthening the business community, and contributing to Indonesia’s economic growth. I am confident they will continue to set new benchmarks of excellence in the years ahead. My heartfelt congratulations to the 2025 winners,” added DIONISIUS DAMIJANTO, Best Managed Companies Leader, Deloitte Indonesia.

The 9 Indonesia winners join a vibrant global network of more than 1,700 Best Managed Companies spanning over 45 countries. Beyond the prestige of the awards as a mark of business excellence, winners can access invaluable opportunities for networking with business owners, industry specialists, investment professionals and Best Managed winners globally.

The winners and judges are invited to the exclusive and inaugural 2025 Southeast Asia Best Managed Companies Regional Awards Ceremony which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 19 November 2025. This event will mark the first time that winners across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam gather to receive their awards together as one regional community of exceptional privately held companies. The landmark occasion promises an evening of celebration, networking, and meaningful cross-market connections.

Best Managed Companies is a flagship program presented by Deloitte Private, a division of Deloitte dedicated exclusively to serving private clients of all sizes.

Note to Editors: Some of the winners are publicly listed companies. The term “private enterprise” is used because most of their shares are still privately owned, either directly or indirectly, which is a requirement to participate in the Best Managed Companies program.
