Five Singapore businesses newly recognised as Best Managed Companies

SINGAPORE, 28 August 2025 – Five new businesses have been recognised as Singapore’s Best Managed Companies award winners by Deloitte Singapore (“Deloitte”). Now in its fifth year, this year’s Best Managed Companies has recognised a total of 14 outstanding local companies for their organisational achievements and significant contributions to their industry and the economy.

In addition to the five new companies, seven companies achieved the coveted Gold Standard designation, awarded to organisations that have consistently performed at Best Managed level for four or more consecutive years, and two companies have also successfully retained their designation for two consecutive years, underscoring their enduring commitment to best-in-class management and performance.

To secure the Best Managed Companies designation, businesses undergo a rigorous assessment led by an independent panel of respected business and industry leaders. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive framework with four key pillars – strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities and innovation, as well as governance and financials – shaped by more than 30 years of Deloitte’s global benchmarking against leading private companies worldwide throughout the awards’ history.

Deloitte welcomed a new member to the program’s independent judging panel this year – Sheila Ng, former Chief Financial Officer of Raffles Medical Group. This year’s awards were also evaluated by returning judges Professor Annie Koh, Professor Emeritus of Finance (Practice) at Singapore Management University; Isabella Huang-Loh, Chairman of the Singapore Environment Council; and John Lim, former Chairman of Boustead Projects Limited and Singapore Institute of Directors.

“Singapore’s home-grown businesses are a cornerstone of the nation’s economy. We are delighted to honour the 2025 Singapore’s Best Managed Companies award winners and their clear commitment to world-class business excellence. These companies have shown resilience and agility amid an uncertain landscape, while remaining dedicated to their people and purpose – a true reflection of Singapore’s growth story over the last 60 years. They also serve as prime examples of what success could look like for private businesses in Singapore,” said Shariq BARMAKY, Country Managing Partner, Deloitte Singapore.

“This year’s Best Managed Companies winners embody the ethos of balancing bold ambition with disciplined execution, while never losing sight of the importance of people, culture and purpose. It is a privilege to witness their journey and celebrate the positive impact they have made on both the local economy and the wider Southeast Asian business landscape,” added CHUA How Kiat, Best Managed Companies Leader, Deloitte Southeast Asia.

The 14 Singapore winners join a vibrant global network of more than 1,700 Best Managed Companies spanning over 45 countries. Beyond the prestige of the awards as a mark of business excellence, winners can access invaluable opportunities for networking with business owners, industry specialists, investment professionals and Best Managed winners globally.

The winners and judges are invited to the exclusive and inaugural 2025 Southeast Asia Best Managed Companies Regional Awards Ceremony which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 19 November 2025. This event will mark the first time that winners across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam gather to receive their awards together as one regional community of exceptional privately held companies. The landmark occasion promises an evening of celebration, networking, and meaningful cross-market connection.

Best Managed Companies is a flagship program presented by Deloitte Private, a division of Deloitte dedicated exclusively to serving private clients of all sizes.

Note to Editors: Some of the winners are publicly listed companies. The term “private enterprise” is used because most of their shares are still privately owned, either directly or indirectly, which is a requirement to participate in the Best Managed Companies program.

About Best Managed Companies

Best Managed Companies is a global awards program that recognises privately held companies for their organisational excellence, business success, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The program offers a robust framework for management teams to evaluate their strategies, strengthen operations, and benchmark themselves against the top-performing private companies worldwide.

Established in Canada in 1993, Best Managed Companies has since expanded to more than 45 countries across Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East, with plans to launch in Africa. Today, its global network comprises over 1,700 outstanding companies that come together as a community to build alliances, exchange knowledge, and share best practices.

In 2025, the Best Managed Companies awards program marks five years in Southeast Asia, with a community of winners in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
