BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 7 March 2018 — On Tuesday, 6 March 2018, Deloitte Southeast Asia held a recruitment drive in the city of Bandar Seri Begawan to hire up to 10 university graduates to fill entry-level business analyst positions for its consulting practice that services not only businesses in Brunei, but also businesses operating in Southeast Asia.
Successful applicants will primarily focus on Strategy & Operations and Technology consulting work. With Deloitte being one firm in Southeast Asia with a presence in all 10 ASEAN countries and Guam, these employees will have the opportunity to work in the different Deloitte offices across the region. This exposure will help them acquire knowledge and experience in the field of consultancy which they can then apply to their work in Brunei to help the local organisations grow their businesses.
“Growing our consulting practice in Brunei is part of our wider growth strategy to increase Deloitte’s presence in Southeast Asia. By building our capabilities in Brunei, we are able to use our regional expertise and draw from our global network to help the local government and businesses navigate the changes of the increasingly digital world, and become more efficient and effective. In addition, hiring talented Bruneian graduates not only benefits us as an organisation by expanding and diversifying our talent pool. It also allows us to help groom the next generation of talent that can take Brunei into the future,” says Mr LEE Chew Chiat, Consulting Leader, Deloitte Brunei.
Deloitte’s consulting practice is one of the organisation’s five core services, which also include audit & assurance, tax & legal, financial advisory and risk advisory services, focusing on 6 core industries – consumer & industrial products, energy & resources, financial services, life sciences & healthcare, government & public services and technology media & telecommunications.
As the world’s largest professional services organisation, Deloitte helps clients solve their most complex problems, from strategy to implementation. Deloitte’s consultancy practice is differentiated by the ability to not only advise but also execute the solutions for clients in the market they operate in today and where they want to be in the future. Delivering this value requires the integration of a broad range of talent and skills in key service areas of Strategy & Operations, Technology and Human Capital.
Deloitte’s consulting practice is one of the fastest growing practices globally. In Southeast Asia, Deloitte works with many of the region’s major corporations and government agencies to help them achieve growth and success in today’s evolving regional and global marketplaces.
