In lieu of the growing importance of data in our daily business decision-making, our observations in dealing with FSIs is that there are data quality concerns (such as repetitive data and lack of data governance) which peak comparatively to other observations. Most FSIs in Malaysia suffer from the absence of a clear data governance framework, detailing the roles and responsibilities of Data Owners, Stewards and Users.
Along with the introduction of the concept of BCBS 239 that seeks to address effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting, this has indicated that data governance has come to prominence for FSIs.
We are pleased to invite Informatica – a leading software governance solution organisation rated as a ‘strong performer’ by Forrester and a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrants on data governance with vast experience in the data management, governance and security universes. We are delighted to host a sharing session on data governance, aimed at helping FSIs strategise their data.
