Ventures for Impact is a yearly pitch competition event for early-stage startups that share our ambition to make an impact that matters for people, the planet or prosperity with the power of innovation.

About Ventures for Impact

We are a passionate team that loves to work with startups and accelerate businesses to reach their greatest potential. In Autumn 2021 we, Deloitte, finally realized our idea of helping early-stage startups that want to make an impact that matters by launching Ventures for Impact and the Accelerator Program. We wanted to make sure that the focus would be on the best idea. Hence, we decided that the initiative would be fully pro bono and that the selection of the winning teams needed to be done together with industry experts.  

Each winning startup is offered a spot in our Accelerator Program. In the program they have the opportunity to develop and strengthen their ideas directly with us at Deloitte while also getting the chance to build valuable relationships and receive relevant feedback from key companies in their respective industries.

The application period for Deloitte Innovation Accelerator – Ventures for Impact, is currently closed and will reopen in spring 2026.

Winners of Ventures for Impact 2025

    

Since 2022, we have hosted the pitch event Ventures for Impact. The application period ranges from January to February. We are looking for early-stage startups, founded in the Nordics, that are game-changing and that have the ambition to make an impact that matters for people, the planet or prosperity with the power of innovation. 

The most promising and innovative nordic startups with an aspiration of making a positive impact will be nominated and shortlisted for the pitch event during the spring.  

During the pitch event, each startup have three minutes to pitch their idea to us and a jury representing some of the most influential corporates in the Nordics. Together we will select three startups that will be offered a spot in our Accelerator Program. In the program they have the opportunity to develop and strengthen their ideas directly with us at Deloitte while also getting the chance to build valuable relationships and receive relevant feedback from key companies in their respective industries.

Criteria for being qualified for the Ventures for Impact: Accelerator Program 

  • Game-changing in your industry 
  • Have the ambition to make an impact that matters for people, the planet or prosperity 
  • Founded in the Nordics
  • < 100 employees 
  • < 10 years old 
  • Limited company 
  • Non-listed 

Examples of companies that we are looking for are startups that want to make a positive impact by solving one of the most critical challenges such as:

During the pitch event, each startup will have 3 minutes to pitch their idea to us and a jury representing some of the most influential corporates globally and in the Nordics. 

Previous jury members:

Skyfora specializes in weather forecasting and climate technology. They have developed a meteorological innovation with their patented Telecom GNSS Meteorological solution. This solution transforms cell towers into high-resolution weather sensors, unlocking vast amounts of private weather data with a software update and providing new revenue for mobile network operators. Skyfora’s solution enhances the accuracy of AI-driven weather forecasts, improving global climate change resilience.

Hormona aims to help women better understand maintain balanced hormones through a home diagnostic tool for hormone health. By leveraging AI and at-home testing, they revolutionise hormone testing and monitoring, eliminating the need for a lab. With Hormona, women can receive lab-grade results in 15 minutes at home, along with actionable tips and guides to stabilize and optimize their hormone health – closing the gender data gap in healthcare and providing better care pathways and treatment options for women everywhere.

Graphmatech integrates the “miracle material” graphene within industries to promote resource efficiency and sustainability at scale. Their advanced materials offer increased strength, thermal and electrical conductivity, barrier capability, and durability. They are transitioning from R&D to commercialization, aiming to scale production from 5 tons per year today to 3,700 tons by 2029.

The company works to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the alcohol industry by producing drinks from the carbon dioxide released during alcohol fermentation. The jury's motivation highlighted the potential in the company's solution, both in addressing the challenges of the beverage industry and generating valuable by-products for a range of other industries.

The company has developed a technology that identifies different animal species and customizes signals that scare them away from areas where there are, for example, new plantations or railway tracks. The jury's motivation highlighted the potential of the technology to promote sustainable agriculture and protect wildlife.

The company's crowdfunding service enables individuals to invest in loans to businesses in developing countries so that they can finance their solar projects. In its motivation, the jury praised Trine's commitment to creating concrete, positive solutions for the environment.

Founded 2019 | Sustainable food Hooked Foods Founded 2019 | Sustainable food Hooked Foods develop the next generation of seafood with their patented recipes which are 100% plant-based and full of protein, omega-3, vitamins & minerals without any microplastics and heavy metals. They want to make a difference that matters for our oceans by meeting the growing demand for seafood but avoiding bycatch, overfishing, maximized fish farms, or destructive fishing methods.

Founded 2022 | Fintech insurance Charly fight the economic inequalities that can occur when starting a family. Their Family Equity Insurance is an insurance that helps secure the financial future of the person who takes the majority of the responsibilities at home. The insurance consists of a monthly savings plan that will start closing the lifetime income gap, ensuring financial security whether you stay together or not.

Founded 2017 | Proptech Myrspoven provide a SaaS-platform, myCoreAI, that optimizes buildings by analysing data from the BMS, the building’s temperature control sensors, CO2 levels, and humidity, as well as external data sources such as weather, energy tariffs, and social data. The solution creates an optimized steering strategy for the individual needs of each building. myCoreAI guarantees the best indoor climate at the lowest possible energy use and saves ≤ 25% energy. Founded 2019 | Clean Water & Health Aquammodate incorporates natural water purification into water filters, enabling a product that can produce pure water at low energy costs. Aquammodate aims to provide clean water to people and industries alike by turning any source water into pure water in an economical and environmentally friendly way.

Founded 2018 | Bio-based Plastics PlasticFri is a GreenTech company that has developed a technology transforming renewable resources, such as agricultural waste and non-edible plants, to bio-based products. The material looks and works like plastic but is 100% biogradable and compostable and non-toxic, enabling a sustainable future free from fossil-based plastic.

Founded 2019 | Circular Fashion Future Closets/Hackyourcloset.com is changing how customers consume by offering a subscription service of clothes that has a 97% lower carbon footprint than the average newly consumed clothes in Sweden. Taking a circular business model approach, the clothes in the subscription service consists of underutilized garments that have more to give e.g. second-hand, overstocks and unsold goods.
