Our recruitment process

With a no "one size fits all" approach, we tailor each process to the specific requirements of the role. The job ad will always specify the required documents and information to include in your application. We will thoroughly review your application in our recruitment system, SmartRecruiters, and invite you to progress in the process if we find a match.  

If we find a potential match, we will invite you for an interview to learn more about you, your motivation for the role, and provide a clearer understanding of Deloitte and the specific position. In some processes the interview might also include a discussion around the assessments that you have completed at home prior to the interview. See more information about our assessments and why we use them in the “assessment” section.

By inviting you to perform one or more of the below assessments or test we want to understand your strengths and abilities in relation to the specific role, as well as your potential for future success and cultural fit within our company.

  • Case or brainteaser: In a case exercise, we aim to assess your skills through a task related to the job you are applying for, while also providing you with insight into what the role entails. On some occasions, you will be asked to prepare a case in advance and present your solution, while in other instances, no preparation is required, and we will guide you through it during the interview. 
  • A test that involves a personal evaluation of your typical working style and aims to gain insights into your natural tendencies, interpersonal skills and how you might fit within a team or company culture.
  • Tests are designed to evaluate your learning capacity and potential for success within specific areas, such as logical reasoning, verbal comprehension and numerical ability. 

You will always receive feedback regarding the test results as well.

If, at the end of the recruitment process, we both agree that there is a mutual fit, we will extend an offer. Once accepted, you will receive a contract. 

Some recruitment processes may require a background and/or reference check. We will inform you if this is necessary, and we will never conduct any checks without your prior approval. 

If you have had an interview but are not offered the job this time, we are always happy to provide feedback and the reasons for our decision. As candidate experience is at the heart of what we do, we also encourage you to share any feedback on how we can improve the process.
