– Självklart är det uppmuntrande att se att vi gör framsteg mot att uppnå jämställdhet i styrelserna och det är glädjande att Sverige ligger bra till i rankningen. Men utvecklingen går alldeles för långsamt även här i Sverige. Det är viktigt att vi håller fokus och vidtar konkreta åtgärder för att öka mångfalden i svenska styrelser och ledningsgrupper, både vad gäller kön, ålder, bakgrund och etnicitet, säger Therese Kjellberg, partner på Deloitte.
I Sverige finns högst andel kvinnliga styrelseledamöter inom den finansiella sektorn (38,2 procent), följt av consumer business (35 procent) och TMT (34,2 procent). Bland statligt ägda bolag innehar kvinnor 47 procent av styrelseplatserna och majoriteten av ordförandeposterna (51 procent).
Rapporten visar på ett positivt samband mellan kvinnligt vd-ledarskap och jämställdhet i styrelsen. På global nivå har bolag med kvinnliga vd:ar betydligt fler kvinnor i sina styrelser än de som drivs av män – 33,5 procent respektive 19,4 procent. Trenden är densamma på bolag med kvinnliga styrelseordföranden – 30,8 procent respektive 19,4 procent. Det framkommer även att mer jämställda styrelser är mer benägna att utse kvinnliga vd:ar och styrelseordföranden.
– Forskning från The 30% Club visar att bolag med mer diversifierade styrelser och ledningsgrupper presterar bättre. En grupp som består av olika kön, åldrar och bakgrunder får dessutom infallsvinklar från flera olika perspektiv, vilket är en enorm tillgång när det kommer till att lösa problem och rusta bolaget för framtiden, säger Therese Kjellberg.
Årets rapport producerades i samarbete med The 30% Club vars ambition är att uppnå 30 procent kvinnlig representation i styrelser och ledningsgrupper på börsnoterade bolag. Rapporten jämför andelen kvinnliga styrelseledamöter i 72 länder och tittar på orsaker och trender bakom siffrorna.
